Lapland dog sledding photography from the Arctic north, where a team of huskies is the only sound for miles. These images follow mushing across the frozen forests and lakes: the dogs charging down the trail and resting in the snow, the view up the gangline from the sled, and the quiet camp life between runs — a Sami lavvu tent at -30 degrees centigrade , a campfire and kettle, a cabin’s lit window in the dark. Above it all, the sky performs: a pink sub-Arctic sunset, a sundog burning through the trees, and the green aurora over the forest. Deep winter is the season for it — short days, long blue shadows, and snow to the treetops.
