Senja autumn photography from Arctic Norway, where jagged peaks rise straight from the fjords and the tundra turns to gold. These images were made in September on Norway’s second-largest island. The sheer wedge of Segla above Fjordgården (clear one moment, wrapped in mist the next), the sawtooth Okshornan “Devil’s Teeth” at Tungeneset mirrored in a tidal pool, and the winding shoreline roads of the national scenic route insert a sense of awe. Between the big views come quieter notes: cotton grass over an island-strewn fjord, a boardwalk threading the moor, a waterfall in autumn birch, and the red houses that anchor every Norwegian coast. Late September is the season for it — low light, autumn color, and the fast, moody weather that gives Senja its beautiful drama.
