The Canadian Rockies rise straight out of Alberta’s forests. A bull elk carries a heavy rack of velvet antlers through a wildflower meadow; a crested merganser cuts a line across a glacial lake; mist rolls through the spruce at first light. The mountains do the rest — the turquoise water and hanging glacier of Lake Louise, a still lake mirroring a sunlit peak, driftwood banked against a misty glacial lake, and fireweed blooming on a rocky bluff above the valley. It is a landscape of scale and weather, where wildlife and stone share the same wild, green summer.
Canada will always hold a dear place in my heart. Born in Point Claire close to Montreal, I am fortunate to have a dual citizenship. It is always a great pleasure to go back to my origins. And Alberta is where we picked up our last beautiful Samoyed puppy from an amazing breeder. We will be forever grateful for being able to bring Skye to Switzerland.
